Early Saturday in Arizona

Have I mentioned that I am not a morning person? I probably haven’t, so let me be sure to state it now. I. Am. Not. A. Morning. Person. I stay up to at least midnight (midnight is the latest if I’m really exhausted), but usually anywhere from 2-3AM is my average, then I wake up around 10:30AM usually.

My night owl tendencies have been groomed since middle school where I would stay up late reading and rereading and rerereading (yes that’s a new word!) the Harry Potter series. It then developed for not only reading, but playing The Sims, and I added WoW about 5 years ago. It’s just part of who I am. If I don’t have to get up early, I won’t. Sleeping is one of my favorite past times. Ever. Well, other than all of the other things I like. But sleeping is just tops! It really is. Anyways, time to stop gushing about how great sleeping is… moving on!

My sister’s house is the complete opposite for her, but that’s what happens when you have 3 children that are 5 (almost 6), 4, and 1 (almost 2). The older two are up around 6AM, and the baby is usually up between 5:30AM and 6AM. For my dad that’s not a problem. He’s been getting up around 4 or 4:30AM my whole life, but it’s kind of a big change for me.

It’s kind of funny though. I always end up getting kind of used to it. Kind of being a relative term that is. Saturday TJ and I were up about 6 or 6:30AM because my youngest niece was crying because she heard her mom and siblings were up, and wanted out of bed too. So I went back to get her out of bed while my sister was busy with the older two kiddos. Of course she had gotten herself so worked up at that point she kept shoving off me so I set her down and she went running off to find her mom. No one can replace their momma.

My baby niece is very friendly now that she is over her “stranger” phase. She loves TJ and enjoyed watching her morning TV shows while sitting in his lap. Nemo enjoyed them as well!

Have I mentioned that my baby niece absolutely loves hats? Well, if not, let me be sure to mention it now. She is a hat girl. Cowgirl hats, sun hats, her siblings hats, even mommy’s hats, she loves to wear hats! Today was no different as far as hats were concerned. When she put on that cowgirl hat she kept it on for a very long time.

Ride ’em Cowgirl!

For dinner we decided on something really yummy and quick, homemade (and healthy!) chicken nuggets. As we were making them, my sister had to take two breaks because miss my niece wouldn’t leave her alone!

She is a thirsty and hungry little girl!

The older two were really excited that I wanted to get a picture of them! So my niece grabbed up my nephew and started spinning with him. They’re the cutest!

Despite how early the day began, it was a great day, and I’m so happy I got to spend it with my sister and my niece’s and nephew!
